Support Shaik Shifa Maryam for Neuroblastoma Cancer Treatment#
 
Shaik Shifa Maryam is 9-month-old baby and suffering from Neuroblastoma Cancer and need support for surgery and chemotherapy urgently. Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that forms in neuroblasts (immature nerve tissue) in the adrenal glands, neck, chest, or spinal cord. Neuroblastoma often begins in the nerve tissue of the adrenal glands. Children are typically given 4 to 8 cycles (about 12 to 24 weeks) of chemotherapy before or after surgery. The chemo drugs used usually include carboplatin, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, and etoposide. If chemo is used first, surgery may then be done to remove any remaining tumor. Currently, the baby Shifa Maryam is under the care of Dr.Sirisha Rani at Rainbow Children's Hospital, Hyderabad. The hospital has given an estimation for the complete treatment is about Rs 8 Laks ($10,000) for Chemotherapy, surgery, supportive care and post-surgery and chemotherapy. The family cannot afford this costly treatment and requesting generous people to support them.
 
Baby Shifa Maryam lives with her parents in Malakpet, Hyderabad. Her father Shaik Sharukh Hussain works in a private firm and makes Rs12,000($150) monthly. His income is just enough to meet monthly living expenses and house rent. They do not have any other sources of income. They are humbly requesting community to support then to save the life of their daughter. They are eligible to receive Zakat and Sadaqah.
